Wierd 2008

Here comes a new year, i wish you all a happy new year 2008 full of joy and success and a better life .
For me i don't really know if it is gonna be a happy year or not as it is already starting with some complications and problems that i wish will be solved the soonest possible . On the second of January i have been told by my boss that the company and going bankrupt and will shut down and since that day i am jobless . So that was quite a bad sign for me about 2008. Starting a new year being jobless is not really nice . But we never know, everything happens in this world for a reason.
Now i am heavily looking for a job and hope to get the right one in the right company the soonest possible.
I am still not very pessimistic about 2008 as with 3 weeks i will be a father o a beautiful baby girl that i decided to call Yara, an arabic name meaning "Tenderness" . She is supposed to be born on the second of February, therefore i am leaving to london after 4 days to attend the delivery .

Wish me luck in finding a new job soon ....i'll keep you all updated whenever there are good news.

here i am

it's been a loooooong long time i didn't post anything to my blog. It is not because i am ignoring it or don't bother posting my news but it is because i really have nothing new to tell. Life became kind of boring here in dubai. or maybe because i just don't go out as i used to do before due to my wife's pregnancy. We are alone here in dubai, with no family, so she really needed my care during the past 6 difficult months of pregnancy. Always tired and sick, short outings, sleeping early was the common status of our life during the past period. Even when i used to go out with my friends during the weekend for couple of hours without her i used to feel bad and guilty to leave her home alone.

Now she is leaving to London next sunday to prepare for the delivery due first week of february. What people don't really know, is that the fact she is leaving is a difficult thing to me. I admit that i would feel more free to spend time hanging around with my friends and enjoying our time, but this would be the feeling if she is coming back in 2 weeks .... But the fact is that she is leaving for 4 months, which is to my personal opinion a looong period . It is not easy to be used to someone and to put a certain system to your life and then all these systems and rules and habits break up for 4 months.... I remember when i came last year to dubai i had to stay alone for a week until she joined me. It was a miserable week .

But the good thing is that i am actually applying for my visa to go to england by end January and attend the birth of my babygirl .... i really hope my application will be successful so that i can experience the most beautiful moment of my life .... being a father !!!

So wish me luck with all the suspence i will be facing in my coming days

Papa Seif !!!

i know it's been a while i didn't post anything on my blog . i don't know why !! maybe because there is nothing new to say and routine is killing me .

But now, i have the best reason ever to post something . I have recently been informed by a doctor that my sweetheart is pregnant !!! i couldn't believe it and was really surprised . It is a wonderful feeling to be a daddy. ooooh yes, i am getting old and responsibilities are growing with me , that is life , but i am sure it is gonna be the most beautiful responsibility on earth .

i can't wait !

Oh yes, since i came back from Egypt i admit that I'm not the same like before health wise . I don't know why since i came back i feel weak and sick . May be because of the big difference of weather , or maybe because of difference in the quality of food (i admit that i ate allot of Egyptian food that i love from my mom , the best cook in Egypt) .

But still, although i had some bad times since i came back, some very good things are happening to me these days . The first thing is that i finally had my f****g driving test and passed it successfully. And i finally got my UAE driving license 2 days ago . This was the worst driving license i had in my life . it costed me allot of time and allot of money also . The problem here in the UAE is that rules and policies are very stupid . I spoke to some people who had their exams for 10 times and they failed each time . When these people knew that i passed my exam they were weirdly starring at me with a big surprised smile as if i won the world driving test championship .i felt really sad for them .

The second thing is that i am in the process of buying my new car and i REALLY CAN'T WAIT to get it ! I finally decided what car to buy after allot of suggestions and options, first i wanted a mini cooper , then i thought of the new Honda Civic, then i thought to get the Toyota Fortuner , then i booked a Hyundai Santafe , and I finally decided to get a very nice Mitsubishi Pajero :) isn't that crazy ! This was one the the most difficult decisions i had after around 6 months of hesitation ! So now i finally decided and the purchase is under process here is a picture of it at the showroom :

I am really looking forward to get it very soon within these days !! wish me luck !

Back to Dubai and the Middle East !

Oooh yes .... the holiday is over and i just arrived to Dubai last night !
I was really deeply sad to leave Egypt, i even had the same feeling of sadness i had when i was leaving it for good .

Although i didn't have time to do all i wanted properly, i still enjoyed my time with the family and friends that i already miss and hope to see soon .

I wanna tell my family that i love them all and hope to see them very soon .
And i wanna tell my friends, i love you all from the bottom of my heart, we will all be friends for ever no matter how far we are. And thanx for the beautiful time we had during this holidays.

Here i come to Dubai, upon arriving at the airport everything was fine and smooth till the moment a guy stopped us just before going out of the airport, after the passport control, the luggage collection and everything . The guy asked for our passports me and Hanan , he looked at her british passport and gave it back to her immediately . He kept my passport and said :

Guy : Where is ur bag ?
Me : (i showed it to him calmly )
Guy : Take it and follow me !
I took the bag and followed him . He took me into a small room , closed the door and told me
Guy : Where from Egypt are you from ?
Me : I am from Alexandria
Guy : Where in Alexandria ?
Me : Stanley , do you know it ?
Guy : No I know Moustafa Kamel
Me : That is close to stanley ( Very worried while answering his questions but at the same time very confident that i don't have anything illegal)
Guy : Can you empty your pockets ?
Took everything out of my pockets, then he searched my pockets by himself and asked me:
Guy : Do you smoke Cigarettes ?
Me : Yes i do
Guy : Where is you pack of cigarettes ?
Me : I don't have any now coz i finished it before coming
Guy : Do you smoke anything else ?
Me : No ( I started to tremble and sweat and i felt my adrenalyne going up )
Guy : Do you drink Alcohol ?
Me : No, But i just bought a bottle of whisky for some friends is that a problem ? (I tried to be honest to avoid any problems)
Guy : No That is fine, put ur stuff back in your pockets and thanks you
Me : Don't you need my bag anymore ?
Guy : No That is fine .

And this was the full dialogue of my first search in an airport, and then a friend of mine told me that is normal . that is what they are doing recently to any flight specially coming from Alexandria, looking for hashish and drugs . I actually wonder if they do that with all flights coming from Amsterdam !!!??? i don't think so .......... NO COMMENT ! :(

blogging from Egypt

yesterday was my flight to egypt for a 2 weeks holiday .
I am so excited that i came back to alex after being away for around 6 months .
it is good to see my friends and family again .
The weather is a bit cold over here in alex but still bearable :)

Who is the real ARMANI !!

Today, something really comic happened to me . I was next to my office and there is a glasses shop having some nice sunglasses on his shelves. One of these glasses attracted me as i asked the indian guy in the shop to show it to me as i want to try it on . After trying it on i asked the usual question anyone askes to get the price of anything and here was the dialogue between the indian guy and me :

Me : How much are these ?
Seller : 230 dirhams before discount sir !
Me : what ? why is it so expensive ? ( the sunglasses looked of low quality)
Seller : This is Armani my friend !

so i looked at the brand name on the sunglasses and it was written " Louis Armani" . i don't know if the manufacturer wanted to make the buyer feel that this is a merger betweer Louis Vuiton and Georgio Armani or what exactly . So here i replied him

Me : Ok but this is Louis Armani not Giorgio Armani

And suddenly he comes out with this bomb that killed me and Peep and made us drop the thing and leave the shop shocked and laughing like crazy ;

Seller: Yes my friend it is same same but Giorgio Armani was in Italy and when he moved to America he Changed to Louis Armani !!

The problem was he was really serious and was trying to make me buy the glasses as Armani ones !

This is what stupid people do when they deal with others as more stupid than them ! and the problem is that they think they are smart !
